1. WHAT HEMOROL IS AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR
Hemorol is used to relieve pain and irritation of the anus caused by hemorrhoids, chronic inflammation of the rectum, mucosal fissures.

2. WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE USING HEMOROL CANDLES
HEMOROL suppositories should not be used
- if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to benzocaine, plants of the aster family (Asteracaea = Compositae) and other active substances or any auxiliary substance of HEMOROL.
- if you suffer from tumor diseases;
- if you are pregnant;
- for children and adolescents under 18 years of age;
- if you have heart arrhythmia (rapid, irregular heartbeat);
- if you have intestinal obstruction;
- if you have liver and kidney failure;
- if you have glaucoma (increased intraocular pressure);
- if you have a prostate adenoma;
- if you have pulmonary edema (fluid retention in the lungs).

Special precautions should be taken when using HEMOROL

Before starting to use this medicine, it is recommended to consult a doctor in order to determine the cause of the disease.
If you notice blood in your stool, you should consult a doctor.
If the effect of the drug is not sufficient or the symptoms of the disease worsen, it is necessary to stop using the drug and consult a doctor.
If the hemorrhoids are large, the pressure may cause pain in the anus area until the suppository dissolves (approximately 5-10 minutes).
Taking other medicines
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including those bought without a prescription.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Before using any medicine, it is necessary to consult a doctor or pharmacist.
Pregnant women should not use the drug, as it can cause premature birth (escin effect).
The safety of the drug for breastfeeding women has not been studied, therefore, its use during breastfeeding is not recommended.
Driving and using machines
HEMOROL does not affect the ability to drive and use machines.

3. HOW TO USE HEMOROL CANDLES FOR HEMORRHOIDS
Always take HEMOROL exactly as your doctor has told you. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Dosage
For adults, take one HEMOROL suppository at night. If the disease is more severe, the dosage indicated for adults can be taken 2-3 times a day.

Duration of treatment

HEMOROL suppositories should be used until the pain is gone, but no longer than 7 days in a row.
If you feel that the effect of HEMOROL is too strong or too weak, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
If you take an overdose of HEMOROL
No cases of overdose are known. If you or someone else has taken more HEMOROL than you should, contact your doctor or the nearest emergency department.

If you forget to take HEMOROL

Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.
If you have any further questions about the use of this medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
4. POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS OF HEMOROL
Like all medicines, HEMOROL can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Allergic reactions, itching or redness may occur when using HEMOROL (frequency unknown - cannot be estimated based on available data).
The benzocaine contained in the drug can cause methemoglobinemia (frequency unknown - cannot be estimated from the available data).
If an allergic reaction occurs or the symptoms of the disease worsen, stop using the drug and consult a doctor.
If you get any serious side effects or notice any side effects not listed in this leaflet, tell your doctor or pharmacist.
5. HOW TO STORE HEMOROL CANDLES
HEMOROL should be stored at a temperature no higher than 25 °C
Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
Do not use HEMOROL after the expiry date stated on the box under "EXP" and on the blister after "EXP". The drug is suitable for use until the last day of the indicated month.
HEMOROL medicines must not be poured down the drain or disposed of together with household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of unnecessary medicines. These measures will help protect the environment.
6. OTHER INFORMATION ABOUT HEMOROL DRUG FOR HEMORRHOIDS
Composition of HEMOROL suppositories
- One suppository contains 50 mg of Matricaria recutita L. ( Chamomilla recutita (L.) Rauschert.), thick extract of flos (chamomile flowers) (3:1) (extractant: purified water); 20 mg of Atropa belladonna L., radix (horseradish root) thick extract (4:1) (extractant: ethanol 70% V/V); 80 mg of a thick extract (4:1) made from Cytisus scoparius L ., herba (broom dry shrub herb), Aesculus hippocastanum L., cortex (bark of horse chestnuts), Potentilla erecta L. Raeusch., rhizoma (rhizome of wild silverwort), Achillea millefoliumL., herba (yarrow herb) (extract: ethanol 40% V/V) (1/1/1/1), 100 mg benzocaine.
Excipients are glycerol (E422) and solid fat.
