Do you suffer from unpleasant itching and burning in the anal area? Even if no one talks about it, around every second person in Germany is affected by hemorrhoidal disease.

Hametum® hemorrhoid ointment contains a distillate of leaves and twigs of the Virginia witch hazel ( Hamamelis virginiana ). Due to its high proportion of tannic acid, witch hazel has an astringent effect, stops bleeding and inhibits inflammation. Hametum® hemorrhoid ointment helps to improve the symptoms in the early stages of hemorrhoid disease.

Hametum® hemorrhoid ointment is particularly effective thanks to the combination of the herbal active ingredient and the compatible ointment base. The ointment base supplies the skin with fat and moisture and thus increases its barrier function. The herbal active ingredient from witch hazel inhibits inflammation and itching, relieves weeping and burning, promotes the healing of smaller wounds and stops minor bleeding.

Tip
Treatment with Hametum® hemorrhoid suppositories can be easily combined with the use of Hametum® hemorrhoid ointment. A sensible combination is to use the ointment during the day and the suppositories at night. Burning, pain and itching are specifically combated.

Application
The ointment is applied thinly to the affected skin areas several times a day. The anal region should be carefully cleaned and dried before use.

In principle, the ointment can be used until the symptoms subside. However, if symptoms do not improve within a week or even worsen, medical advice should be sought. Self-treatment without consulting a doctor should not exceed 4 weeks.

Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging. The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
