Tavegyl neutralizes the action of histamine, which is a substance released in the body during allergic reactions (manifested as a red rash, tissue swelling or severe itching).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTavegyl relieves:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eskin allergic reactions (redness, rash, itching, swelling);\u003cbr\u003eallergic rhinitis (hay fever, watery eyes, sneezing, runny nose);\u003cbr\u003esymptoms of insect bites\/stings.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAdults and adolescents over 12 years of age:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ethe usual dose is 1 tablet in the morning and 1 tablet in the evening. If your doctor has not prescribed otherwise, do not take more than 6 tablets in 24 hours, the maximum dose is 2 tablets at a time.\u003cbr\u003eUse in children:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eChildren from 6 to 12 years of age: the usual dose is ½ to 1 tablet in the morning and in the evening.\u003cbr\u003eChildren from 3 to 6 years of age: ½ tablet each, to be taken before breakfast and bedtime.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe active substance is clemastine (in the form of fumarate).
