Tavegyl 1 mg tablets 20s - Allergic Rhinitis, Hay fever, Various Allergies
Tavegyl contains the active substance clemastine, which is an antihistamine used to relieve allergy symptoms. Tavegyl neutralizes the action of histamine, which is a substance released in the body during allergic reactions (manifested as a red rash, tissue swelling or severe itching).
Tavegyl relieves:
skin allergic reactions (redness, rash, itching, swelling);
allergic rhinitis (hay fever, watery eyes, sneezing, runny nose);
symptoms of insect bites/stings.
Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age:
the usual dose is 1 tablet in the morning and 1 tablet in the evening. If your doctor has not prescribed otherwise, do not take more than 6 tablets in 24 hours, the maximum dose is 2 tablets at a time.
Use in children:
Children from 6 to 12 years of age: the usual dose is ½ to 1 tablet in the morning and in the evening.
Children from 3 to 6 years of age: ½ tablet each, to be taken before breakfast and bedtime.
The active substance is clemastine (in the form of fumarate). Each tablet contains 1 mg of clemastine.
Other ingredients are: magnesium stearate, povidone, talc, corn starch, lactose monohydrate (see end of point 2 for more information on excipients).
