Pantoprazole beta acid contains the active ingredient pantoprazole, which blocks a type of pump that produces stomach acid. As a result, the amount of acid in the stomach is reduced.

Pantoprazole beta acid is used for the short-term treatment of reflux symptoms (e.g. heartburn, acid regurgitation) in adults. Reflux is the backflow of stomach acid into the esophagus, which can become painfully inflamed. This can cause symptoms such as a painful burning sensation in the chest that goes up to the throat (heartburn) and a sour taste in the mouth (acid reflux).

Your symptoms of reflux and heartburn may be relieved after just one day of treatment with Pantoprazole beta acid, but this medicine does not necessarily provide immediate relief. To relieve symptoms, it may be necessary to take the tablets on 2-3 consecutive days.

Application
The recommended dose is one tablet daily. Do not exceed this recommended daily dose of 20 mg pantoprazole.

Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging. The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.

Hints
If you do not notice any improvement in symptoms after 2 weeks of continuous use of this medicine, contact your doctor. Do not take Pantoprazole beta acid for more than 4 weeks without seeing your doctor.

The active ingredient is: Pantoprazole. 1 gastro-resistant tablet contains 20 mg pantoprazole (as pantoprazole sodium 1.5 H2O).
