The NiQuitin Transparent patch is a drug that helps to stop smoking.
It helps wean off from nicotine by gradually lowering the dose delivered to the body.

Composition
Nicotine (Nicotinum). One 22 cm2 patch contains 114 mg of nicotine and delivers 21 mg of nicotine in 24 hours.

Intended use
NiQuitin transdermal system is designed to relieve nicotine withdrawal symptoms, such as: nicotine craving, nervousness, anxiety, irritability, mood disorders, sleep disorders, concentration disorders, increased appetite, mild somatic disorders (headaches, muscle pain, constipation, fatigue) associated with quitting smoking. If possible, NiQuitin patches should be used in conjunction with a smoking cessation program.

Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to nicotine or to any of the excipients. NiQuitin Transparent is contraindicated in persons under 12 years of age and in non-smokers.

Dosage
Treatment with NiQuitin is usually started with a dose of 21 mg/24 hours. and reduce doses as follows:
• Grade 1 - NiQuitin 21 mg/24 hrs. - first 6 weeks
• grade 2 - NiQuitin 14 mg/24 hours - next 2 weeks
• Grade 3 - NiQuitin 7mg/24h - last 2 weeks
For light smokers (up to 10 cigarettes per day), it is recommended to start treatment with step 2 (14 mg/24 h) for a period of 6 weeks, and then reduce the dose to 7 mg/24 h. for the last 2 weeks.
A full, three-stage treatment with NiQuitin Transparent patches must not exceed 10 weeks. If the treatment did not bring the expected result, you should consult your doctor to agree on further treatment.
