Lakcid INTIM is an over-the-counter drug in the form of hard capsules, which are recommended for use by women to restore and maintain normal vaginal bacterial flora. The product is recommended prophylactically after menstruation, after antibiotic therapy or in cases of vaginal bacterial flora disorders. Medicine for women over 18 years of age.

Action and properties
Lakcid is a vaginal probiotic that stops the multiplication of pathological strains of bacteria and yeast. Effectively restores the normal bacterial flora of the vagina. It contains freeze-dried, live Lactobacillus gasseri DSM 14869 and Lactobacillus rhamnosus DSM 14870 bacilli isolated from the vagina of a healthy woman. These bacteria have strong adhesive properties to the vaginal epithelium, which enable them to colonize and survive in the vagina. Both strains produce lactic acid, and the Lactobacillus gasseri strain produces hydrogen peroxide, so they create unfavorable conditions for the multiplication of pathogenic bacteria.

Application/indications
Lakcid is a preparation recommended to restore and maintain normal vaginal bacterial flora.

Ingredients
active substances:
- Lactobacillus gasseri DSM 14869 rods, not less than 108 CFU* per capsule;
- Lactobacillus rhamnosus DSM 14870, not less than 108 CFU* per capsule.
*CFU - colony forming unit
other ingredients: lactitol monohydrate, corn starch, xanthan gum, glucose anhydrous, magnesium stearate; capsule shell: gelatin, titanium dioxide (E171)

Lakcid dosage
Prophylactically, immediately after menstruation:
One capsule daily (before bedtime) for 4-6 days, vaginally.
After antibiotic therapy:
One capsule daily (at bedtime) for 6-8 days, vaginally.

Contraindications
Lakcid INTIMA should not be used if:
- you have a severe immune system disorder.
- the patient is hypersensitive to any of the ingredients of the drug.
Adverse reactions/side effects
If you are allergic to any of the ingredients of Lakcid Intima, a burning sensation may occur at the injection site.
