Warnings and precautions

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Kapsikam.

It is not recommended to use hot procedures (sauna, bath, etc.) before or immediately after using Kapsikam, as this causes the skin pores to open and may cause a burning sensation on the skin.

Kapsikam ointment should not be applied to damaged skin, open wounds, or areas affected by eczema. In order to avoid severe irritation, it is necessary to try not to get the ointment in the eyes or on the mucous membranes.

To avoid unwanted effects, it is advisable to apply a little ointment to the skin before use to determine its sensitivity to the drug.

Kapsikam ointment should be used with caution by elderly patients and patients with impaired liver or kidney function.

For children and teenagers

Kapsikam ointment is not recommended for use in children and adolescents, as there are insufficient data on safety and effectiveness in this group of people.

Other drugs and Kapsikam

No interaction studies have been conducted.

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, or if you are not sure.

Dimethyl sulfoxide stimulates the penetration of other active substances through the skin. In order to avoid the side effects of these substances, other drugs should not be applied to skin areas treated with Kapsikam.

Pregnancy, lactation and fertility

If you are pregnant, breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant, or are planning to become pregnant, talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine.

There are no necessary data on the use of the drug during pregnancy, therefore Kapsikam ointment should not be used by pregnant and lactating women.

Driving and machine control

Kapsikam does not affect the ability to drive and use machines.
