Forlax can only be used for short-term supportive treatment. Features: Forlax comes in the form of a powder to prepare an oral solution with a laxative effect. The active substance contains a polymer from the macrogol group - macrogol 4000. In the intestine, macrogol has an osmotic effect - it retains water, increasing the volume of fluids in the intestine and loosening the fecal mass. Increased stool volume stimulates colonic motility through neuromuscular stimulation. Thanks to this, the large intestine is quickly emptied and the softened stool is easier to pass. Macrogol therefore has a laxative effect. The drug is available without a prescription.
