The doctor will prescribe the dose that is right for you and the duration of use.\u003cbr\u003eUse orally.\u003cbr\u003eThe usual dosage is as follows:\u003cbr\u003e1 tablet (75 mg) daily. Gastro-resistant tablets should be taken after a meal - swallowed whole with a small amount of water.\u003cbr\u003eThe ACARD gastro-resistant tablet has a coating and does not disintegrate in the stomach, which reduces the irritating effect of acetylsalicylic acid on the gastric mucosa.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e*Acard is indicated e.g. in: preventing a heart attack in people at high risk; in secondary prevention after myocardial infarction; in the prevention of transient ischemic attacks (TIA) and ischemic stroke in patients with TIA; after ischemic stroke in patients with TIA.\u003cbr\u003eApplies to Acard 75 mg and Acard 150 mg:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eComposition and form: Each gastro-resistant tablet contains 75 mg (Acard) or 150 mg (Acard 150 mg) of acetylsalicylic acid, respectively. Indications:after major surgical procedures as a supplement to other methods of prophylaxis. The doctor should decide on the initiation of treatment with acetylsalicylic acid and the dose to be used.Contraindications:Acard should not be used: in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance - acetylsalicylic acid, other salicylates or to any of the excipients of the medicinal product; in patients with bleeding diathesis, in patients with active gastric and\/or duodenal ulcers; in patients with severe renal failure; in patients with severe hepatic impairment; in patients with severe heart failure; in patients with seizures a history of aspirin-induced asthma, caused by the administration of salicylates or substances with a similar effect, especially non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs; concomitantly with methotrexate in doses of 15 mg per week or more; in the last trimester of pregnancy; in children up to 12 years of age in the course of viral infections due to the risk of Reye's syndrome - rare, but a serious disease causing damage to the liver and brain.
