Smekta is the most preferred remedy for the symptomatic treatment of acute diarrhea in adults and young children /including infants/. SMEKTA is a proven effective preparation that treats diarrhea and relieves the accompanying pain symptom in diseases of the esophagus, stomach, duodenum and colon.

What is the action of the preparation? SMECTA is a high-quality diosmectite /double silicate/, which differs from other silicates by its multi-layered structure, which implies a much better action. This multi-leaf structure makes SMEKTA a powerful adsorbent - it absorbs water in a volume up to 8 times the weight of the powder and thus quickly normalizes the consistency of feces . In addition, SMECTA has a cleansing effect - it binds to toxins / bacteria, viruses / in the intestines and removes them. Smekta also has pronounced mucoprotective properties - envelops the intestinal mucosa and supports its recovery.

Method of administration:

In infants and children:

Under 1 year: 2 sachets daily for 3 days and then 1 sachet daily.

Over 1 year: 4 sachets daily for 3 days and then 2 sachets daily.

In adults:

The recommended daily dose is 6 sachets daily.

In children:

- under 1 year: 1 sachet daily

- between 1 and 2 years: 1 to 2 sachets daily

- over 2 years: 2 to 3 sachets daily

In adults:

Average of three sachets daily.

Method of application :

The contents of the sachet should be suspended immediately before use. It is recommended to take diosmectite after meals in patients with esophagitis and between meals in other indications.

In infants and children

The contents of the sachet can be dissolved in a teat or bottle with 50 ml of water and given during the day or mixed well with semi-liquid food: porridge, stewed fruit, vegetable puree and baby food.

In adults :

On average, 3 sachets per day are dissolved in half a glass of water.
