NUROFEN® Junior Fever Syrup Orange 40 mg/ml – Effective against fever and pain
NUROFEN® Junior Fever & Pain Syrup 40 mg/ml is a liquid ibuprofen suspension for fever & pain relief in children from 3 months and weighing 5 kg or more. It provides rapid and long-lasting fever reduction - in 15 minutes for up to 8 hours. It is available in strawberry and orange flavors, both of which are well received by children. Thanks to the included dosing syringe, the suspension can be dosed precisely according to age and weight and administered safely.
The fever syrup is free of lactose, gluten, colorings, sugar and alcohol and is therefore particularly well tolerated.
Fever
Fever occurs more frequently in children, toddlers and babies than in adolescents and adults. A temperature of over 38.5 °C is considered a fever. In newborns younger than 1 month, 38 °C is considered a fever. It is caused by the body fighting an underlying infection, because at a higher temperature, bacteria and viruses have a harder time multiplying. Common causes of fever in children, babies and toddlers include flu, colds, gastrointestinal infections, middle ear infections, urinary tract or kidney infections, and vaccinations.
teething
Teething is when your baby's first teeth begin to push through the gums. This can cause the gums to become red, sore and painful. This process takes about 8 days per tooth, which roughly includes the 4 days before and after the tooth erupts.
Headache
It's not just adults who suffer from headaches - children and young people can get them too. However, children often experience headaches - also known as cephalgia - differently than adults, which means they can go unnoticed. Headaches in children can be accompanied by stomach and back pain, and migraines can also be accompanied by nausea.
How does NUROFEN® Junior fever and pain syrup work?
NUROFEN® contains the active ingredient ibuprofen, which has anti-inflammatory, analgesic and fever-reducing effects. Ibuprofen reduces the formation of prostaglandins, the body's own messenger substances that are released in increased amounts when tissue is injured or in the event of illness. Prostaglandins increase the pain sensitivity of the surrounding nerves so that your body can quickly recognize that something is wrong. They also cause inflammation and swelling of the tissue and are involved in the development of fever.
