HIRUDOID® FORTE Gel – Strong effect on superficial vein inflammations and bruises
They are unpleasant for everyone: swollen veins that lead to varicose veins. Although they can form in principle in any vein in the body, 90 percent of them occur in the legs.

It is no consolation that these venous diseases are among the most common in Germany. Women are affected two to four times more often than men. However, only around twelve percent of those affected show such pronounced varicose veins that they require medical treatment.

In the majority of cases, sufficient exercise, avoiding extreme heat such as saunas or sunbathing, and alternating showers to stimulate circulation are effective measures for preventing and limiting symptoms. HIRUDOID® FORTE is available as a cream and a cooling gel. Both dosage forms contain an active ingredient concentration of 445 mg chondroitin polysulfate per tube (100 g). To activate the calf muscle pump, both the cream and the gel should be carefully massaged in towards the heart.
